RSS Newsfeed

The free Huber & Lang newsfeeds will keep you up-to-date and inform you about new publications from your faculty.

What is RSS?

RSS stands for „Really Simple Syndication“ and is a system, that allows you to receive information (RSS-Feeds) like news from a certain website without visiting it regulary.

The contents are provided in a special format (XML) and can be downloaded with special RSS newsreader programs. These programs read the subscribed newsfeeds and notify you about anything new, just like e-mail-programs. So you will be up on all new publications within your chosen faculties.

Why RSS-Feeds?

Because of a new technology you don’t need to register with an username and password and you don’t even have to use an email-adress when subscribing to our RSS-Feed.

The contents can be subscribed repeatedly with different kinds of hardware like mobiles or the computer. If you don’t want a RSS-Feed any longer, you can just erase the subscripton in the according program (see below).

How can I subscribe to RSS-Feeds?

The current e-mail-programs like Outlook 2007 and Mozilla Thunderbird [1] and also the webbrowser Internet Explorer 8 and Mozilla Firefox [2] can handle RSS-Feeds. Beside of that there are some special programs like Freereader and RssOwl, which are exclusively for the subscription of these contents.
